This is an advanced level position preforming a full range of assignments.   Employee independently performs work under minimal supervision from the Senior Dentist. This is a highly responsible position providing professional dental services for the Dental Clinic in the Leon County Area, treating clients ages 0-20.  Position requires independent judgement, initiative, advance knowledge of program, business practices and skill in applying instructions to accomplish various job functions. 

The responsibility of this position is to assure the delivery of quality dental services to clients of the Department of Health in Leon County.  This includes but is not limited to actual treatment performed on patients, supervision of auxiliary dental personnel, assurance of confidentially, monitoring sterilization procedures, development of community dental programs to assist in screening high risk individuals and periodic training programs as needed.

Delivery of clinical services: Examinations, radiology, restorative and surgical procedures, endodontics, consultations.

Supervision of sealants, prophylaxis and oral hygiene services and coordination of student interns.

Administrative work and community development activities to support the Dental Health Program of the Health Department and increase community access and preventive activities.  Treatment planning and record maintenance.  Other functions as required.
